Alejandro Sarria Morales

I use computational methods to study the cultural and cognitive mechanisms behind political ideologies.

My work uses natural language processing to examine how political belief systems can be represented, how they are formed and how they influence the way people think and act.

Before coming to Duke, I received an MA in Computational Social Science from the University of Chicago and a BA in Psychology from Universidad de los Andes, where I also completed studies in economics and comparative politics. You can see my complete CV here.

I was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, and like to cook in my free time.
